THE FAMILY TREES

This part of the project is the one that I find to be the most motivational, in that it tries to provides full family trees for each Covington. In The Covington History Database, each Covington has his or hers own individual record with, where known, details of parents, spouse(s) and children, etc. The Family Tree File merges all this data linking generations with previous generations to create a wider Family Tree. Listed below are links to, and details of, the larger trees that I have gathered together to date. The minimum criteria for this list is that I have found at least 4 generations.

From my research, I believe that all white American Covingtons first arrived in the U.S.A., having been the offspring of an emigrate member within just 5 different strands of the U.K. Covington trees (highlighted in yellow in the chart below). The famous Nehemiah U.S. tree is, in my opinion, part of THOMAS Ref: 6477. My own tree is GEORGE COVINGTON. Ref: 2617,.which also has a large number of U.S. Covingtons within its branches. With your help, I hope to eventually link all Covs together to provide you with details of your own dynasty.

I have also created some trees for my immediate grandparents families, on my mother’s side family The Mawle and The Dancer Dynasties and on my father’s side The Reynolds, The Wells and The Austins.

The list is sorted by the number of generations held on file for that particular tree. Each tree has a Senior Descendent, or Generation One Daddy. Each dynasty chart starts at Generation 1 and moves through the ages. Any wives who have been lucky enough to be selected by a Covington as their bride, are included at the end of the group!!.
