257 feet. An unincorporated community situated in Virginia Township in Pemiscot County, Missouri
COVINGTON LAKE, MISSOURI
The Covington Lake can be found on the Harwood USGS quad topographical
map. It is a reservoir in Vernon County in the state of Missouri. The latitude
and longitude coordinates for this reservoir are 37.8750, -94.1552 and the
altitude is 833 feet (254 meters).
Anyone interested in fishing Covington Lake should consult with local
guides and resources before heading out to fish.
History:
A post office
called Covington was established in 1877, and remained in operation until 1912. The community was named after the original owner of the site.
The
township of Virginia had a total population of 441 living in 225 homes as at
June 2020
